Enterprise Team (Developers of KhaoPeyo.com) selected finalist at MITEFP-OPEN BAP-2009

For over three years now, entrepreneurship promotion activities have been gaining momentum in Pakistan. Initially Ken Morse & Bill Aulet of MIT Entrepreneurship Center, OPEN members especially Imran Sayeed and locals Azhar Rizvi, a successful entrepreneur and CNBC anchor Junaid Iqbal; organized and conducted a number of trainings, seminars and workshops related to entrepreneurship and enterprise building. Later on MIT Club of Pakistan Enterprise Forum (MITEF) was formed to formalize the activities and people like Dr. Zahir Ali Syed, an Entrepreneur and educationist, Farrokh Captain, Chairman Captain Industry and others also joined the effort. A major success story of all the activities conducted so far has been the BAP (Business Acceleration Program). It was conducted successfully in 2007, 2008 and this years November 13th is the judging and awards ceremony for BAP-2009.
In addition MIT recognizing the efforts being put in by MITEF has approved it to become the seventh international chapter of MIT Enterprise Forum, ahead of Major European, Asian, Latin American and African countries. MITEF is now renamed as MIT Enterprise Forum of Pakistan (MITEFP).

KhaoPeyo.com wins at PASHA ICT AWARDS 2009

KhaoPeyo.com wins merit award in "Applications for Hospitality and Tourism" category. The basis of this recognition by the industry's highest level was based on the uniqueness of the idea of KhaoPeyo.com and its development execution. eTeam team members are all proud of this achievement.

It was an amazing celebration of the innovation and growth of the Pakistan IT and IT Enabled Services industry. 520 people got together at the Karachi Sheraton Hotel to recognize winners in 20 different categories at the P@SHA ICT Awards. There was a vibrance, a sense of community and accomplishment and a resolve to move ahead together.

Phase wise launch target set for KhaoPeyo.com

Enterprise Team decided on the phase-wise launch of KhaoPeyo.com. The first phase was targeted for customers. While the first phase will go live, KP team will be signing up restaurants to join KP.
The main goals for this phase identified were (1) to build a customer base (2) to enable customers vote and/or suggest their favorite restaurants so that KP team has a list of restaurants to contact.

KhaoPeyo in ITCN August 2008

The customer survey for KhaoPeyo.com were officially launched by eTeam on 2nd of June 2008. The launch ceremony was at eTeam office in Karachi. The survey website targetted three different user categories namely "Home Users", "Corporate Users" and "Restaurant Owners".
These surveys were also conducted in ITCN Asia 2008 held in August 2008. The survey website was closed in December 2008 and the results were compiled. The results were very encouraging and helped us identify the target market and there were certain inputs which helped us finalize the requirements for the portal.
